Support includes inclusion of any SVG content, as well as vertical-flowing text by way of 3 XHTML elements: ul, li, div. SVG content can be positioned absolutely or in the vertical flow. See README for more details. 2004-05-01 ========== The Creative Commons ShareAlike license was chosen for cairo-artwork. In a comparison of the permissions and restrictions of the ShareAlike license and the CC-GNU LGPL (Creative Commons GNU LGPL), the only obvious difference seemed to be that the ShareAlike license has no source code restriction. As artwork will in some cases not have source code (and the CC-GNU LGPL, like the GNU LGPL is intended for software, not artwork), this seemed a nice fit. 2004-04-30 ========== Carl Worth and Keith Packard decided to adopt the freedesktop.org-colored scarab beetle holding a hacker-emblemed dung as the new cairo logo. The new logo debuted as part of Carl's Friday morning cairo presentation at an X Developer's Meeting - XDevConf. cairo-artwork is born. A CVS module was imported and the first official version of the new cairo logo was committed. 2004-04-29 ========== Richard D. Worth drew a scarab beetle in SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), commissioned for use as bullets in a cairo presentation, replacing earlier bitmap beetle bullets. @ 1.2 log @ * cairo-artwork_defs.svg: added.
